Venue Assistant | Concept by Pyramids of Chi

A new wellness concept by Pyramids of Chi will be launching in New Bahru, envisioned as a restorative space that brings together movement, mindfulness, and holistic wellbeing.

The Venue Assistant plays a vital hands-on role in supporting the delivery of all wellbeing sessions at this new wellness space. This position is primarily responsible for the preparation, setup, care, and reset of all session spaces, ensuring every experience is delivered in a calm, safe, and highly considered environment.

Working closely with facilitators, the Venue Supervisor, and the Venue Manager, the Venue Assistant supports a wide range of healing, meditation, movement, sound, light, and immersive experiences. This is a practical, physical role that requires attention to detail, presence, and a strong sense of service to both guests and practitioners.

The role will be based within the Pyramids of Chi team and offers the opportunity to be part of an early-stage wellness concept from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

Session Space Setup & Care

  • Prepare all session spaces to a high standard ahead of each experience, following setup procedures and brand guidelines
  • Begin preparations well in advance of sessions to ensure temperature comfort, lighting, acoustics, layout, and ambience are optimised
  • Set up and reset mats, cushions, bolsters, blankets, seating, and comfort items according to session requirements
  • Support lighting, sound, microphones, and basic technical checks in coordination with facilitators
  • Prepare ambience elements such as diffusers, lighting features, and other sensory components in line with safety policies
  • Reset and restore spaces between sessions to ensure cleanliness, order, and energetic calm

Session & Facilitator Support

  • Provide in-session and pre-session support to facilitators across all healing and wellbeing modalities
  • Carry out facilitator instructions accurately and in a timely manner
  • Remain discreet, present, and supportive during live sessions
  • Assist with guest flow into and out of session spaces when required

Venue & Equipment Care

  • Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation of all session spaces in collaboration with housekeeping
  • Inspect equipment, furnishings, and structural elements for wear or issues and report findings promptly
  • Safely handle, store, and care for instruments, props, and venue assets
  • Assist with basic maintenance tasks as required to support smooth operations

Guest Interaction & Support

  • Greet guests warmly and professionally when encountered in session areas
  • Provide basic guidance to guests regarding session flow, comfort, and venue etiquette
  • Support guests with special needs in coordination with the Venue Supervisor
  • Represent the calm, respectful tone of the brand at all times

Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with the Venue Supervisor, Venue Manager, facilitators, and front-of-house team to ensure seamless session delivery
  • Support cross-department coordination when required to ensure successful sessions and events
  • Communicate issues, feedback, or improvement suggestions clearly and promptly

Skills & Experience

  • Experience in event setup, hospitality operations, wellness venues, or physical support roles preferred
  • Able to lift, move, and arrange equipment and furnishings
  • High attention to detail and strong sense of spatial awareness
  • Ability to follow procedures precisely and work to schedules
  • Calm, respectful, and service-oriented approach
  • Comfortable working flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • Interest in wellbeing, healing, or mindful environments is an advantage
